Vettore Group is a trading name of Joe Bennett, a sole trader. We are responsible for the personal information described here.

What we collect
When you send an enquiry: your name, email address, and anything else you choose to give us, such as your company, phone number, what you need and when.
When you email us: your email address and the contents of your message.
When you visit the site: our web server keeps a basic log of requests (the page requested, the time, and your browser type) so we can keep the site secure and count visits. These logs don't include your IP address.
Stopping spam: when you send an enquiry, your IP address is held briefly in memory to limit how many enquiries can come from one place. It isn't written down or kept.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss what you need. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- If you become a client, to provide the service you've asked for. Our legal basis is taking steps to enter into, or perform, a contract with you.
- To keep the website secure and understand how many people visit it. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe, working website.
- Only if you accept cookies: to measure how the site is used (Google Analytics). Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
We don't sell your information. What you type into the enquiry form is never sent to Google.
Cookies
The site works without cookies. If you click Accept on the cookie banner, we also load:
- Google Analytics (cookies
_gaand_ga_<id>, which last up to 2 years), to count visits and see which pages are useful.
If you click Reject, or don't choose, it doesn't load and nothing is sent to Google. We remember your choice in your browser only. You can change it at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with the services we need to run the business:
- Microsoft, which provides our business email. Enquiries arrive in our Microsoft 365 mailbox.
- Hetzner, which hosts this website. If an enquiry can't be emailed straight away, a copy is kept on that server until we've dealt with it.
- Google, only if you accept cookies. Google may process this data outside the UK, including in the United States.
If a request involves a supplier (for example, delivering a gift), we only share what that supplier needs to do the job, and we'll agree it with you first.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to any work are deleted after 12 months. Client records are kept for 6 years after our last work together, for accounting and legal reasons. Web server logs are deleted after 30 days. If you accept cookies, Google Analytics keeps the visit data linked to its cookies for 2 months, after which Google deletes it.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, or stop or limit how we use it. Email joe@vettoregroup.co.uk and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
